July 15-19, 2024 Food!

We will begin our week with icebreaker games, have a ‘musical picnic’, create our own (imagined and real) food, and discover some of our own personal favourite foods along the way! Slumber party Friday afternoon.

By exploring the topic of food, we learn about respect, food insecurity, helping the hungry, and caring for our bodies. These topics are explored through mosaic making, fossil digging in jello, homemade “spaghetti” and pizza, vegetable painting, and so much more!

Food isn’t food without creating a great candy bouquet! Participants will create their own while at camp.

August 19-23, 2024 Monsters!

We begin our week with icebreaker games, instrument exploration, sculpting, and quickly move into discovering monsters and mummies! Bring your flashlight and your bravest self! Slumber party Friday afternoon.

Learning what it means to be special and unique through the lens of a monster will help learners seek their potential throughout the week. We will explore monsters through different mediums such as paper mache, goo/ slime, rocks, puffy paint, and more. Students will gain confidence as we go on a “monster hunt”, work on our math skills, dramatize using monster items, and decorate monster cookies! Please wear clothes that can get dirty.

July 2-5, 2024 Animals!

Animals are our theme this week! Our week will consist of icebreaker games, paper mache, outdoor fun, and drama games! Please come prepared to get dirty! Our slumber party (Friday afternoon).

Robert Munsch starts us off on the right foot by introducing us to some wild and some not-so-wild animals! We will dance our hearts out with animals and maybe even like animals! We will create and investigate music every day! We will learn how animals depend on specific habitats to meet their needs and mould animals from clay, paper, paper mache, and other material. By dramatizing our created animals, our own story will come alive!
